Hello there, I have been selected as the DNS Directorate reviewer for this draft. The DNS Directorate seeks to review all DNS or DNS-related drafts as they pass through IETF last call and IESG review, and sometimes on special request. The purpose of the review is to provide assistance to the ADs. For more information about the DNS Directorate, please see https://wiki.ietf.org/en/group/dnsdir There are are clear and direct references to various DNS RFC's and this draft is not in any conflict with the wider DNS space. This is a well written draft and I am comfortable to give this Ready status. While I don't believe this to be a blocker there might be value in mentioning the scenario where a user does not have a pre-configured resolution strategy and is not using DNSSEC in the zones. Is this even a supported scenario or is DNSSEC an implicit pre-requisite as a result? Otherwise thanks for a well written and not overly long document to review. Best Regards Anthony Somerset
