Authors, OPS-DIR, I am the assigned OPS-DIR reviewer of draft-mm-netconf-time-capability, a draft which has reached IETF Last Call as an individual submission, intended for Experimental Status. Last Call ends today. I note the Gen-ART review of Robert Sparks, http://www.ietf.org/mail-archive/web/ietf/current/msg93777.html and Andy Bierman's reply: http://www.ietf.org/mail-archive/web/ietf/current/msg93815.html Some have indicated support for the features proposed in this draft in recent weeks: http://www.ietf.org/mail-archive/web/netconf/current/msg10312.html Many folks on the list *are* NETCONF experts, and I am not. Rather than attempt a detailed OPS-DIR review for an Experimental draft, I thought it might be useful to start from a use case for the proposed features. The was a short discussion of this draft in connection with the TWAMP YANG model and the need to trigger the start of test sessions (on ippm-list): https://www.ietf.org/mail-archive/web/ippm/current/msg03807.html which concluded the experimental feature did not match the need. Certainly, other use cases are possible, and perhaps they will emerge during further discussion. regards, Al
