I have reviewed draft-sparks-genarea-mailarch-improvements-02 as part of the Operational directorate's ongoing effort to review all IETF documents being processed by the IESG. These comments were written with the intent of improving the operational aspects of the IETF drafts. Comments that are not addressed in last call may be included in AD reviews during the IESG review. Document editors and WG chairs should treat these comments just like any other last call comments. I found the document is clear and Ready, however I did not do independent verification of the claimed issues with the current tool during my review. This is a Informational individual draft which contains various user level requirements for an update to IETF email search archive tool. Nits - Acknowledgments - Please remove the 2nd paragraph of Acknowledgments as it's not noted for the RFC Editor to do it and it may be missed now that last call is over. References - it would seem to me that knowledge of the current tool behavior would be Normative since all the requirements are expressed as a difference to it's behavior, more so than the original RFC. Cheers, Jon
