The IESG approved the minutes from the June 13 teleconference. Steve to place in shadow directories. 2. There were a number of comments and issues raised during the discussion of INTERNET REGISTRY IP ALLOCATION GUIDELINES to the author with a request to include examples in the document, and not to just list URLs in the document. 4. The IESG approved publication of IP Version 6 over PPP as a Proposed Standard. Steve to send announcement. 5. The IESG approved publication of A Method for the Transmission of IPv6 Packets over FDDI Networks as a Proposed Standard. Steve to send announcement. 6. The IESG approved publication The Simple Public-Key GSS-API Mechanism (SPKM) as a Proposed Standard. Steve to send announcement. 7. Action was deferred on the two RMON documents pending a revised protocol document that will include a Security Consideration section. 8. The IESG approved publication of Definitions of Managed Objects for IEEE 802.12 Interfaces as a Proposed Standard. Steve to send announcement. 9. The IESG approved publication of Definitions of Managed Objects for Data Link Switching using SNMPv2 as a Proposed Standard. Steve to send announcement. 10. The IESG approved publication of OSI NSAPs and IPv6 as an Experimental Protocol. 11. The IESG had no problem with the publication of PNG (Portable Network Graphics) Specification Version 1.0 as an Informational RFC, but will request the following IESG Note be included: The IESG takes no position as to the validity of the authors' patent claims. Steve to send note to RFC-Editors. 12. The IESG had no problem with the publication of Operational Criteria for Root Name Servers as an Informational RFC. Steve to send note to RFC-Editors. 13. The IESG decided to return Multiple Response Simple Mail Transfer Protocol to the document author for some minor revisions and a title change. Once done, can be published as Informational. 14. The IESG approved publication of Uniform Resource Agents (URAs) as an Experimental Protocol. Steve to send announcement. 15. Scott Bradner was designated temporary IESG liaison to the Nominations committee as Harald is on vacation and there is currently a position to be filled. 16. The IESG agreed to join the IAB when the Cyptography statement (still being drafted) is issued.
