Starting the Installation Wizard
The LBA-Linux installation CD/DVD is designed to make installing LBA-Linux as automatic and as simple as possible.
To start the LBA-Linux installation wizard, place the LBA-Linux installation CD/DVD into the CD-ROM/DVD drive and reboot your computer
Note: Your computer must support booting from the CD-ROM/DVD drive.

If the Installation Wizard does not begin after you have rebooted:
- Check that your floppy disk drive is empty. The presence of a floppy disk may prevent booting from the CD-ROM/DVD drive.
- Your computer may not support booting from the CD-ROM or DVD drive. This is likely if your computer is over five years old. You will not be able to install LBA-Linux.
- Your BIOS may not be configured to boot from the CD-ROM or DVD drive, even if it is capable of doing so. Many computers are set up to check only the floppy drive and hard drive at reboot. To add the CD-ROM/DVD drive to your computer's boot sequence, enter the BIOS setup screen. Read the information on the screen at reboot to discover how to access the setup screen for your computer--often the procedure involves pressing the DELETE key during the computer's memory check. Once inside the BIOS setup screen, locate the CMOS options and add your CD-ROM drive as the first boot device, followed by the floppy and hard drives. Save the settings and reboot your computer.
- You may have an invalid LBA-Linux installation CD/DVD. If you created the installation CD or DVD yourself, examine its contents on a computer already running Linux or Windows. You should be able to see a number of files and directories present on the CD. If the CD only contains a single .iso file, you have created the CD incorrectly.
Check the document Creating a CD-ROM from an ISO image at http://www.sotlinux.org/en/develop/iso.php
for information about creating installation media. If you see files and directories present on the CD, it is still possible that the CD may have become corrupted during its creation. Try burning the CD with your CD-Writer on a slower speed setting.
